Panel Earth The earth is habitable because it is strategically positioned from the sun and it is protectedfrom the ultra-radiation by the atmosphere, and it has water and carbon. The degree to which the original plant underwent transformation into forming carbon determines the type of coal, the older the carbon, the better the coal. The geology of oil shale indicates that the oil shale was formed due to the process of organic matter Depositions. Carbon is in the bodies of all living things, plants use carbon to make food, these plants and animals later die, and then they are buried where they undergo transformations forming the fossil fuels. When plants are burned the carbon go to the atmosphere where it is later captured by plants. Animals take in oxygen and breathe out carbon to the air when plants take use of it. The compositions of coal are sulphur, hydrogen, oxygen and nitrogen. The purpose of photosynthesis in carbon cycle is to purify carbon. When combustion takes place, there are various elements that are produced which include; carbon four oxides and nitrogen. There produced carbon goes to the air and also taken by plants. There are normally two ways which are used in the determination of the age of a rock; one of the major processes of studying how they are distributed and also their sedimentation? The other process involves the study of age dating. The device that is used in the determination of the age of the rock is the use of the radiometric device used in age dating. Banded Iron Formation when it was found to be present in some places indicates that there is a lot of iron which was formed many years ago due to the sedimentations that took place in the sea and ocean base. The relationship that exists between oxygen build up in the atmosphere and the end of the branded Iron Formation is the BIF were formed at the base of the sea ocean due to the oxygen that was being released in the air. Icebox was found not to be lengthy due to the increased changes of the human activity and the global warming. We read the rocks through studying the layers and their sedimentations. Studying the present will help us know how the past was, therefore; the present is regarded as the key to our past. The half-life of carbon is the process used by the geologist and the scientist indetermination of the isotopes of an element so that the age of the rock can be determined. Climate and the climatic change are caused by the continued human activity in the exhaustion of the earth resources. The man’s activity causes global warming hence the change in climate. The ocean circulation affects climate since they cause the sea and the land breezes which cause convectional rainfall. This has an effect on the land. The volcanic eruptions cause the burning of the atmospheric layer therefore damaging the ozone layer, this leads to greater changes in the climate. If the Antarctic ice melted, this would mean that there will be increased volume of the sea water and the oceans causing imbalances and the tsunamis. The layers of the atmosphere are; the troposphere, the stratosphere, mesosphere and thermosphere. Milankovic described three cycles which are, orbital eccentricity, obliquity and the procession. These cycles were described to have affected the glacial periods. The relationship that exists between the carbon dioxide and the global warming is that the release of the carbon dioxide causes the damage of the ozone layer causing the global warming. Climate is recorded through determination of its average temperatures and the precipitations annually. The end of the last glacial period was recorded to be about 15,000 years ago. The rapid change in climate is due to the human activity and exhausting the earth resources and burning of forests. The warming is caused by the ozone layer which has been damaged causing the sun rays to reach the earth surface. This also happens during the cold periods which become very cold due to change in the climate. For past 40 years, it is evident that climate has undergone a dramatic change. When the air is polluted, carbon dioxide is released to the atmosphere. There has been increased carbon dioxide over the last 40 years more than the plants can take, this shows that the rate of pollution is high. By the year 2050, if the amount of the carbon increases, then this will mean the global temperature will have increased at a higher rate. The presence of the diatomic taken from the seabed and the core clearly indicate that there is evidence of the existence of the medieval period, which was dated about 2700 years back. The climatic event that took place 900 years ago is that global temperature rose rapidly. The Vikings settlers outside the Scandinavia in about 500-100 years ago shows that there a rose fights and conflicts during this time due to climatic change. As people fought and raided other families. Importance’s of biodiversity and its values We get economic and the resource ownerships, future conservations, advantages of competitions and also competitiveness, value of commodity, value of amenity, value of morals, the value of the ecosystem. It is important for people to rely on them as they help people to survive in this climatically and competitive world. The extinction rates of the recent times has continued to increase due to the increased population and the consumption rate of the resources is high make it to be high, compared to the extinction of the dinosaurs which are believed have lived many years back where their extinction as gradual. Today’s extinction is rapid. The effects of any consumption include; increased air pollution which later affects the ozone layer causing the global warming. There is increased release of the carbon emissions to the atmosphere which later causes changes in the climate and the degradation of the environment. The forest have been cut down due to human activities, need for settlements, the trees are used to make the shelters; they are also used to make papers and cloths. The biodiversity is destroyed when the trees are cut down as the environment is degraded, soil erosions takes place leaving the ground bare. The biosphere is regarded as the sixth extinction since it includes the extictintions of the recent mammals and the plants which have taken place during the period of Holocene. This is different from the other extinctions since it has been documented. Tundra faces the threats of shrinking due to the increased population, under tundra there is large amount of the resources and man has continued to drill this lands causing an imbalance in the tundra. There is also air pollution which is released from the cities in the world causing global warming which is a threat to the tundra. The tropical rainforest is considered to be a repository of huge amount of carbon. The cutting of the tropical forest has continued to increase at a higher rate and this should be stopped to protect the forests (Baine, 2012. P.231). Works Cited Baione, Tom.
