Yours truly, Maaz Varachhia Applicant Task 3 - Reflection on Strengths and weaknesses as a student. Which part of learning as a student do you get a kick out of I have a special inkling towards computer tasks and my skills already include sufficient knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel and Database, programming using Java, Visual Basic HTML, Oracle and Opnet. I specially like designing computer networks, as this is a fascinating area of computing. How the data is transferred from one pc to another or networks continue to prick my interest. My interest and enthusiasm to learn more is a great asset for this chosen career. What part of learning do you find difficult and frustrating Although I did not enjoy java programming very much as it was a difficult language to learn, and I don't find it exciting, I work fairly well with a group. I am a naturally friendly person, approachable, and creative. These attributes will help me deal well with difficulties in my job because I also have a retentive memory to details. I believe that at the work place, I will not be left to work alone but with other people, and my eagerness and friendly way with people will help me overcome my lack of skills. I will try learn with other people's guidance and support, while at the same time, share my strengths and skills for the improvement and development of any assigned tasks. If money and geographical location is no object, what would be your ideal job My ideal job is to be a doctor, which means helping save peoples' lives. And ideally, I would like to apply this job in Africa because there are a lot of sick people there who are in need. If money were not an issue for me, I would have been a doctor and go to Africa after my education. A lot of people are suffering there especially children. It would satisfy me the most to help them with their lives, to become healthy and grow properly, as well as become productive citizens. I like helping people and working with the helpless and the sick, trying to save their lives would have been the most rewarding job for me. Nevertheless, I like the Information Technology. A career on IT would also be exciting and rewarding for there are a lot of changes going on in the IT field. Besides, I already gained a fair knowledge on IT and I would be really interested to apply theories and skills on the work place. There are challenges that prop up any time, and addressing these challenges is also fun, at the same time, developing my skills. I also like working with people because I learn and gain a lot of friends. Learning about people makes me compassionate, and it also fills a void within me. What have your friends said are your strengths and weaknesses I am a confident communicator, considerate, respectful, and willing to help people. These attributes already won me a lot of loyal and caring friends. This must also be another asset in the work environment because dealing with clients or customers, as well as with peers or colleagues, and superiors, entail proper conduct, as well as the added friendliness. This will make me win harmonious working relations with colleagues. My weaknesses include dealing with very technical jobs as well as decision-making. I sometimes have difficulty on how to deal with jobs that I must address immediately. I sometimes believe I need more time to learn about a technical work. Read More
