Without the knowledge of the mother's friend, she keeps on mistreating her friend’s children throughout their childhood. However, due to the actions of their mother, the rich woman’s children perform so poorly in school while the children of the poor friend perform so well. What happens at this point is an example of a theodicy (Young 12). This occurs in a manner that cannot be influenced by any person as the children may be reading in the same class and being taught by the same teacher.

The example above proves enough of the existence of theodicy in the real world. The problem of theodicy is that the rich woman does bad things to the innocent children of her friend. In her view, she thinks that nothing will happen to her. However, the truth is that bad things happen to her family which she has no control over. On the other hand, her children suffer from the mistake of their mothers without being directly related to the actions of their mothers (Young 12). Looking critically at the problems of young and poor children, the actions of their mother’s friend are too mean.

Since the rich woman preferred to be unfair and mean to the children of her friend without thinking about what she was doing to them, the effects of her actions due to the theodicy come without any cure or defense criteria against her children. In this case, the effect of the theodicy was very necessary to give the rich woman a simple check for her actions.

The effects of the theodicy act as the protector of the defenseless children of the poor woman. They make the rich woman understand that the effects of her actions must be critically looked at regardless of what she owns or the ability of the one who is at her mercy (Dembski 150). They help to stand firm against evil. On the other hand, they give blessings to the children of poor women. This is like a lesson to those people who think that because they own money and other earthly things they can do anything they feel like.

The effects of the theodicy stand out to prove the fact that, God is not happy with evil actions against those who lack and the defenseless in society. It also says that we are all humans it does not matter what one owns. It proves that, even if God has blessed you in whatever you do and all that you own, you are still human like anyone else in society. As such the rich woman was free not to help the children of the poor woman by letting them go back to their mother but not to mistreat them (Dembski 150). The rich woman had no right to do what she did because children are not the same as adults and such actions may affect them all their life.

In this case, theodicy is believed to be more closely related to monotheistic religion. This is because the powers believed to be behind the effects of theodicy are believed to be from the same super being. (Bubeck 10). Most people believe in the power of the God they pray in and, this will always be followed by their actions as well as their upbringing.

Conclusion

It can be seen that theodicy is necessary for society as it helps to bring balance and equality among humans (Bubeck 5). It is something that also helps to strengthen faith in the God that one prays to as a super being and his fairness. On the other hand, theodicy helps to facilitate the philosophy of doing and living a righteous life. This encourages humanity's well-being. Read More
